The Moonbake to Moondish Story:

In 1991 the couple Jun and Ana Manrique put up a neighborhood bakery called Moonbake Breadhouse located in Moonwalk, Las Piñas City, Philippines. The bakery made a variety of bread and specialized in the manufacture of chocolate crinkles that was well-distributed as far as Quezon to the south and Bataan to the north.

In 1999, Moonbake Breadhouse diversified product lines through the assistance of DOST (Department of Science and Technology). Hence Moondish Laing Taro Leaves in Coconut Cream was introduced.

It was launched through numerous trade fairs and exhibitions that invaded both the domestic and foreign markets. Consequently, new products with different variants were produced to the delight of many Filipinos even living abroad. By 2002, Moonbake Inc. and Moondish Foods Corp. now operate as separate entities. And through the years of struggles and success, the company still continues with the basic philosophy of business and public service.
